DANIEL Bryan lost his World Heavyweight Championship rematch against Sheamus at last Sunday's Extreme Rules. But he won't be going away from the title picture just yet as he has become the number one contender to the WWE Championship.

Daniel Bryan participated in Monday Night Raw's Beat the Clock Challenge despite being a Smackdown Superstar. He faced Jerry Lawler as one of them had to win the match in less than four minutes and sixteen seconds, the time set by Randy Orton. Bryan won the match by making Lawler submit to the Yes Lock with one minute and fifty-five seconds to spare. By beating Orton's time, Bryan will face Punk for the title in the main event at WWE Over the Limit.

Bryan's win was half-shocking because nobody really knew what was in store for Bryan. Sheamus is going to move on and feud with Alberto del Rio, so logic would indicate that he would be somewhat entangled in a storyline with AJ. But here he is, after competing for a world title he competes for another one at the next pay-per-view. It's only half-shocking because ever since WrestleMania 28 the WWE can no longer deny that Bryan has become a big star and he has amassed quite a following. His current popularity along with his technical prowess has now helped him stay on the title scene for a little longer. Bryan should make the most of it so that the WWE and the fans would come to realize that he is one of the stars that may carry the company into the future.

SUNDAY's Extreme Rules main event of John Cena and Brock Lesnar was a match that left the fans wanting for more. Even though Cena going over Lesnar is still an ongoing debate among the fans, Cena's gonna follow-up what would be his best match since Money in the Bank 2011 with CM Punk at WWE Over the Limit with none other than...John Laurinaitis???

At the next pay-per-view Cena's going to face the GM of both Raw and Smackdown and the EVP of Talent Relations. It's not yet sure whether Laurinaitis revealed himself as Cena's opponent because of Cena's insults and Cena's original opponent was supposed to be Lord Tensai but as what's known for sure, Laurinaitis is going back to the ring and it's against the face of the WWE.Building this feud isn't difficult really. It could be traced back all the way to Money in the Bank when Cena smacked Laurinaitis in the face. It would then fast forward to April when Laurinaitis tried to replace Cena as the face of the WWE by bringing in Brock Lesnar to destroy him and ursurp that role. Lesnar wasn't able to get the job done, so Laurinaitis figured out to do the job himself. After taking on Lesnar and putting quite a show, could Cena produce a good feud and a good match with Laurinaitis?

Laurinaitis is a good character as of late. Though he annoys people with his voice that seemed to be produced by 50 cigarette intakes a day, he gets the job done by being that heel that the people just want to hate. He gets a lot of heat and he delivers well in his current role. He was a former wrestler, having two 5-star matches and having the Match of the Year in 1996. He was good in the ring and known to be an innovator, with the famous one being the Ace Crusher, which guys like Diamond Dallas Page and Randy Orton have used to be their finishers. But that was before. Laurinaitis never had a match since 2000. He's not in shape and it's very obvious that this would look like a handicap match because Lord Tensai and Sakamoto would certainly be involved. This might be a rehash of the great Austin-McMahon feud, but fans would tune in to see where this will lead both men. Though fans still wanted to see Laurinaitis' in-ring return to be with CM Punk, maybe it would do good if he make the most out of this feud with John Cena.

WWE has added somebody to progress the feud between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, and that man was Edge, the recently inducted hall of famer. With this, Edge is just part of a list of superstars that the WWE has used to sway the fans in Cena's favor.

Who could forget Roddy Piper's segment with John Cena in Piper's Pit? The legend drove Cena to the edge by making him acknowledge his haters and confronting the hate. This move was used primarily in order for one of the two things to happen, to either turn him heel or to make him appear to the crowd as the superhero of the WWE, a person undeserving of the boos. Guess which one happened, and it failed by the way.

Then again another legend was used at Cena's expense. In the build towards Rock and Cena's tag team match, Rock's former tag team partner and Hardcore Legend Mick Foley came back to the WWE to recreate the highest-rated segment in Raw history, This is Your Life. Mick defended Cena to the universe and made Cena look like a joke rather than the guy in what was an uninteresting segment at best. Again, for Cena to gain the favor of the fans instead of the Rock.

Then Kane returned after being out of action since July. The general concensus was that he was going to go after Mark Henry and his World Heavyweight Championship after injuring him. But it didn't happen and instead Kane came back as a heel to force Cena to embrace the hate in order to defeat Rock. In what was the most unnecessary and uninteresting feud of 2012 by far, the feud didn't help as fans still favored the Rock and didn't change its perception of Cena. The feud even didn't help in Kane's comeback as the feud rendered him as a weak wrestler.

In an effort to give Cena more cheers, he was paired with Internet sensation Zack Ryder so he could get the rub from the former U.S. Champ. It still didn't help Cena as Ryder was the one who got the rub from Cena and was sometimes booed by the crowd when tagging along with Cena. It would also give Ryder stupid segments and was made Kane's personal punching bag to advance his feud with Cena. He was even played by Eve and made to look like an idiotic goofball since being with Cena. Instead of helping Cena getting over again, Ryder was thrown into the oblivion and buried.

Point is, no matter who you pair with Cena, even though the wrestler is over with the crowd, won't help in swaying the fans in favoring Cena. This age isn't the age where fans are to cheer those who are faces and get to boo those who are heels. The situation now is that the fans cheer who they deem deserving of the cheers and they boo wrestlers who they think are deserving of the boos. In no way that Cena is deserving of the boos, but if the fans mandated that he should be booed then the company should let it be instead of forcing the fans to cheer the man even if they didn't want to. Stop pairing Cena with others and let those people make Cena always look like the hero that he is, the man that needs to be thanked for and acknowledged by all. Let Cena do it by himself.

FRIDAY Night Smackdown saw its roster get bigger as the team of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil and Antonio Cesaro make their Smackdown debut.

After Triple H's decree that no talent woud be promoted to the main roster without a storyline mapped out for them, we might see the new Smackdown talents involved in angles and feuds in the upcoming weeks. Both talents were introduced at the expense of Teddy Long. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil, two superstars who have been staying at NXT as a heel tag team, were presented as a team who Long didn't sign to Smackdown due to lack of faith. The two went on to rub it in Long's face that he made a mistake that he didn't sign the team and they were ready to take the tag team division by storm. Being signed by Laurinaitis, the two went on to have their first match later on the evening against the Usos, where they won using a tag team finisher reminiscent of the Hart Foundation's Hart Attack. Antonio Cesaro, known to the indy fans as ROH's Claudio Castagnoli, then made his debut later in the evening. Accompanied by "longtime friend" Aksana, they entered Laurinaitis' office to discuss a possible contract with the blue brand.

With Ryback dominating his opponents third week in a row and Damien Sandow continuing to give splendid promos, Smackdown might be the right place where the new talents could develop their character and make themselves as stars in the business. While there are more talents that the fans can't wait to see in the main roster like Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Richie Steamboat, the gradual debuting of the talents is a good move so the fans can indulge themselves first in one character before dealing with another one. While the year 2012 has seen combacks by former stars like Chris Jericho, The Rock and Brock Lesnar, the year could also signal a new generation of superstars ready to carry the company to allow the veterans to finally hang up their boots and let a new era begin in the WWE.

AFTER Bobby Roode retained the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against James Storm at last Sunday's Lockdown PPV, a match was conducted to determine the new no. 1 contender to Bobby Roode. The match was won by the whole fuckin' show himself, Rob Van Dam.

The no. 1 contender's match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship was originally between Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy after they each voiced their claims on why they were supposed to be the new no.1 contender after Storm's loss. Hogan scheduled the match between the two but added Rob Van Dam later on the show. Van Dam went on to win the match and will face Bobby Roode on May 13 at the Sacrifice PPV. It might be a little hasty on the part of TNA's creative to put a man who just returned at last week's show to be immediately in the main event challenging for the title. Rob Van Dam might have returned only to find himself challenging for the World title, but expect that he and Roode would deliver a spectacular match at Sacrifice. The build-up should start next week in order for interest at the match would be invested and to set up what could become a good feud.

LAST night on Monday Night Raw, a non-title match was held between the team of Epico and Primo and the team of Intercontinental Champion The Big Show and The Great Khali. A couple of clotheslines, chops and swishes and the giants are in the ring, with Big Show performing a Chokeslam on Epico and Khali doing the Punjabi Plunge on Primo. They went for the double pin and now has a win over the tag team champions. With this quick victory over the champs, are they next in line to win the titles?

As reported a week ago, a title change may be in the horizon after Epico's rants on Twitter. While people expected that the champs might be dropping the titles to Truth & Kingston (who have not tagged along as of late) or to the Usos (who have just won a match against Slater & Kidd on last week's Smackdown). But here they are, quickly jobbing to the World's Largest Athlete and the Punjabi Nightmare. Nothing against Show and Khali, but they are not the right team to drop the belts to if ever the creative feels like it. First of all, they are slow in the ring, especially Khali. The staple of tag team wrestling is quick, dynamic action. They won't help in the division at all if they're the champions. They would just give every tag team match a couple of minutes with the same chops and clotheslines and that's it.

If ever the creative team would pull the trigger and have the tag team champions drop the titles to Show and Khali, I hope that they will just be transitional champions and they would drop it to a more versatile tag team that could use the rub of beating two former World champions. Show and Khali won against Primo and Epico, and a non-title win in the WWE immediately gives you the right to demand for a title match and become number one contender. With this logic, Show and Khali are next in line for a shot at the tag team titles. Let's just hope if ever they win the titles their reign would end as soon as it started. Let's admit it: if ever they win, it'll be a forgettable one.

LAST night on Raw, the main event set by John Laurinaitis was an Extreme Rules match between John Cena and Lord Tensai. This was Tensai's first match since his return that wasn't a squash, but he still remains undefeated as he beat Cena to end the show.

Before Tensai made his debut the Raw after WrestleMania, reports were surfacing that his first official feud would be with Cena. Although the return of Lesnar the very same night made the legitimacy of the reports in question, the match between the two last night could have been the preview of a feud that would develop in the weeks to come. Tensai could be built to be unstoppable until Cena is done with Lesnar.

The Cena-Lesnar feud is a feud that would most likely end at Extreme Rules. As what was pointed out by Michael Cole last week and by Lesnar himself last night, he was trying to impose himself to the guys in the locker room and to the fans by going after the top dog. After he defeats Cena (which should happen), he would go on to find another feud with other top dogs like Randy Orton or to a returning Rey Mysterio or enter a feud with CM punk, who would likely be finished with Chris Jericho after Extreme Rules. By then Cena could go on and feud with Tensai, who by that time could have become a part of Laurinaitis' group. Lesnar to Laurinaitis is like how Rock was to McMahon in the corporation, and it's logical that Lesnar and today's Austin, CMPunk, would feud leading up to SummerSlam. Cena on the other hand, could be a thorn on the side of Laurinaitis by engaging with a feud with Lord Tensai. This builds Tensai's status in the company further while giving Cena an opponent who could give him a couple of losses, something which the fans want.

REMEMBER when reports about WWE wanting to get Beer Money Inc. from TNA once their contacts were up were very rampant? WWE fans thought that Beer Money Inc. was touted as the saviors of WWE's tag team division and would be a success in North America's no.1 wrestling promotion. But nothing from the reports became real. Beer Money Inc. has already split, with members Bobby Roode and James Storm fighting for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. As their next meeting since November 3, 2011 will happen this sunday at the Lockdown PPV, I realized that this group could have been big stars if they made the jump to the WWE as a tag team. They resembled another tag team that were very dominant in the Attitude Era. It was the Two-Man Power Trip, composed of icons Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

For those who didn't know, the Two-Man Power Trip was a tag team that was formed by Triple H and Steve Austin back in 2001. They were vicious and they were cunning in the ring, usually using dirty tactics in order to win matches. They held all three major championships in the company when they held the tag team titles while Austin held the WWF Championship and Triple H held the Intercontinental Championship. They were aligned with Vince McMahon and were working under his watch. They butt heads with the like of the Rock, Brothers of Destruction, Hardy Boyz, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. Although the alliance only lasted for two months, they were a major force in the tag team division while still delivering in their respective singles matches.

The Power Trip was a great tag team, and the two members of it resembled the members of Beer Money Inc. Triple H has been often compared to Bobby Roode. Their build, hair style and pose are much the same. Their viciousness in the ring are also comparable. It's like Roode is a younger version of Triple H. The heelish acts of Roode has drawn comparisons from Triple H's heel days and Roode's present championship reign is reminiscent of the Triple H of 2002-2005. Also, eralier in Roode's career when he would come down to the ring garbed in a robe was like Triple H in his "Connecticut Blueblood" gimmick in 1995. James Storm, the cowboy redneck, is the same as Austin. They get on with their matches, raise hell, drink beer, then leave. James Storm may not be the corporate rebel that Austin was, but their brash, no-nonsense talking and deliberate use of foul language to get their message across are things that makes the two all the more similar.

James Storm and Bobby Roode are talented athletes. Yes, they became world champions in TNA, but it is not enough to just stay in that promotion. They should jump as a team in WWE once their contracts are up, and begin the tag team revolution there where they would dominate for years to come. If they're ready to go to the next level, they could go into singles competition where Roode will be the new Triple H while Storm will be the new Stone Cold Steve Austin.

WITH last night's Impact being the go home show before the Lockdown PPV, fans would expect confrontations from wrestlers that are involved in their respective feuds. The team members of Garrett Bischoff's team and Eric Bischoff's team were announced, with Rob Van Dam returning as a member of Garrett's teamMCMG and Joe & Magnus making a statement for each other, and a preview of Gail Kim and Velvet Sky's match. But what really made the show all the more special and really make it a go home show was the segment of Bobby Roode and James Storm.

Both competitors bickered back and forth. They strolled down memory lane starting from their time as members of Beer Money Inc. until their foray into singles competition and title contention. The segment was full of intensity and drama as Bobby Roode and James Storm delivered very strong promos that made it feel like they were really getting personal on each other. Their confrontation really ended the show on a high note and it gives the people a lot to look forward to in the main event steel cage match between the two at Sunday's Lockdown PPV. These two have come a long way since joining the company in its infancy way back in 2002, and them being in the title picture after ten long years was worth the wait for long time fans of the TNA product.

BROCK Lesnar and John Cena Opened Monday Night Raw with a great brawl to start the build-up in their match in Extreme Rules.

The night started with John Laurinaitis and David Otunga going inside the ring. Laurinaitis then introduced "the new face of the WWE" who will "bring legitimacy" back to the WWE, Brock Lesnar. Lesnar then praises Laurinaitis and talks about legitimacy being brought back to the WWE until Cena appeared at the apron. As Cena entered the ring, Lesnar took down Cena and busted up his lip. They brawled in the ring and it took the whole locker room to seperate the two from each other. Laurinaitis has earlier said Lesnar was going to face Cena at Extreme Rules, and that segment officially started the build to it.

Though a marquee match like Lesnar vs Cena was expected to be seen as far as SummerSlam, having it at Extrem Rules could actually be good so that Lesnar could make an immediate impact in the WWE, given that he wins his match with Cena and he wins in the feud overall. Lesnar currently acts as the anti-Cena, and though he has aligned himself with John Laurinaitis he is still being cheered by the crowd for kicking Cena's ass for two Raws in a row. With the "legitimacy" angle WWE is trying to work in this feud, Cena and Lesnar have the task of delivering a good match to the fans, especially Lesnar, who hasn't been wrestling for eight years. Lesnar's return would be useless if Cena wins this feud, so expect Lesnar to dispose Cena before entering into another big feud or inserting himself into the WWE title picture.

AFTER seeing Lord Tensai debut and Brock Lesnar come back to Raw, Smackdown also had some share of its new and returning stars too as Ryback (formerly known as Skip Sheffield in Nexus) and Damien Sandow (formerly known as Idol Stevens) made their presence known. The two will just be part of an influx of stars from FCW waiting to be called up to the main roster. With Triple H's decree that no developmental wrestler would be called up to the main roster without a storyline mapped out for them, expect Ryback and Damien Sandow to be in a program in the incoming weeks. With Damien Sandow's great promos and matches and Ryback's power, strength and look, they may be WWE's next biggest superstars in the years to come.

Ryan Reeves, who is wrestling under the Ryback gimmick, has been waiting for his redbut since his last run as Skip Sheffield. Reeves was a finalist in 2004's WWE Tough Enough 4, and from there he was signed to a developmental contract by the WWE. He has wrestled in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling before appearing national television in his Skip Sheffield persona in WWE NXT. After NXT, he, along with the seven other rookies appeared on WWE Raw as the rebel group Nexus, a group that caused chaos and havoc in the WWE. After injurinh himself in the August 18, 2010 live event in Hawaii, Reeves never appeared again in any WWE programming until last night's Smackdown.

Aaron Stevens already debuted in Smackdown in 2006 as Idol Stevens, one of Michelle McCool's favorite "Teacher's Pets". Along with KC James, the two went for London & Kendricks' WWE Tag Team Championship, which they failed to capture. He was then sent back to OVW and was later released. He came back to the WWE in 2010 by signing a developmental contract. He stayed in FCW where he developed his new persona as Damien Sandow, an eccentric and flamboyant wrestler. A former FCW 15 champion, he figures to transfer his success in FCW into the WWE.

WWE.COM recently posted an article entitled "Tag Team Challengers?". The article discussed about nine teams that could possibly challenge current WWE Tag Team Champions Primo & Epico  after their successful title defense in the Triple Threat Tag Team Match in the dark match at WrestleMania XXVIII. This article could very well signal the near end of Primo & Epico's reign as tag team champions.

It is worth noting that the article was just posted for fun as the teams presented there were not really established teams and just random pairings, with the exception of recently established teams like Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd and Alex Riley & Mason Ryan. The established teams like the Usos, Hunico & Camacho, Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins, All-American Perfection and Kofi Kingston & R-Truth are not included in the list. So the article posted by WWE is not something to be worried about right? That should have been the case. But the article came out at the time that Epico voiced his displeasure on Twitter on how the WWE handled the tag team champions. His complaints on not being on the card at WrestleMania XXVIII and not being on either Raw or Smackdown this week is something that may have irked the powers that be in the WWE. People know that if you go against the company, you'll surely end up in the doghouse jobbing to just anybody or you'll get future endeavored.

The team of Primo & Epico is a talented team. You can't take away from them their skills inside the ring. But it is very obvious that they are not the face of the division. They will not lead the revolution that will turn around WWE's tag team division. They were really going to lose the titles to a face tag team, but because of Epico's actions, we might see that title change sooner than later.

ONE of the most respected figures in pro wrestling, Jim Cornette, is always a straight and outspoken guy. The former wrestling manager, who is a former owner of Smokey Mountain Wrestling and current executive producer of Ring of Honor, is known to have publicly expressed his disgust and hatred for former WWE, WCW and TNA booker Vince Russo. In almost all of his interviews, a question about Russo would always likely to appear, and Cornette is not at a loss for words when it comes to him. This time, Cornette's at it again as he is asked about Russo and his role in TNA and his subsequent removal from being a booker in the promotion. Cornette goes all out in this interview provided to you by Dirt Sheet Channel!

LAST night's Impact Wrestling featured the return of one of the most talented tag teams in pro wrestling today, the Motor City Machine Guns. With their return, will the sinking tag team division of TNA flounder again?

The former TNA World Tag Team Champions would indeed spark some interest now that they're back. With their past feuds with other talented tag teams like Team 3D, the British Invasion, Lethal Consequences, Generation Me and Beer Money Inc., fans would clamor to see Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin perform in the ring and do what they do best. But the problem here is that the teams they have feuded before have now disintegrated or already left the promotion. Bully Ray and Devon, members of Team 3D, are now singles competitors. Brutus Magnus, one-half of British Invasion, has now a new tag team partner in Samoa Joe wherein they are the current tag team champions, but they are most likely the only legitimate tag team that is present  in the division. Jay Lethal is in ROH while Consequences Creed is in FCW. Generation Me has moved on to ROH while the members of Beer Money Inc., Bobby Roode and James Storm, are now singles competitors in the main event scene, wherein they are fighting for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The only tag teams left right now in the division is Magnus and Joe's team, Mexican America (which have been very underwhelming), Robbie E and Robbie T (where Robbie T has been appearing sporadically due to training in OVW) and the joke of a tag team which is Eric Young and ODB (which by the way are the current Knockouts Tag Team Champions). With lack of teams to feud with, the return of MCMG may not be enough to start a new revolution in TNA's tag team division.

With their return, fans of tag team wrestling cannot expect they could turn things around overnight. They are indeed a talented pair, but they also need rivals of great skills to provide them great feuds and rivalries that could breathe life to a division nearing its death. TNA could thank its talents that their tag team division isn't the same as WWE's (which could die anytime soon), and the only thing that the creative staff should do is book them into meaningful storylines and provide rival teams that could deliver. MCMG could start the revolution, and they can be the face of TNA's tag team division.
